Unlike most external flash units, sony digital flash HVLF20AM has no dedicated ON/OFF switch. Instead, power is automatically switched on simply by raising the flash unit into the shooting position. In addition, a switch on the side of the unit offers Indoor and Outdoor settings, making it easy for entry-level users to obtain flash illumination that suits their current shooting situation. A charging lamp indicates when the flash is ready to fire. Sony digital flash HVLF20AM also supports ADI (Advanced Distance Integration) flash metering, which automatically assures optimum flash brightness, and auto white balance adjustment, which automatically assures optimum color balance. Designed to offer simplicity and ease of operation in every detail, it enables users to obtain beautiful results without worrying about power settings, flash coverage angles, or other factors involved in bounce-flash shooting.
